Wow, it's been a long time since I have encountered an honest mechanic shop. The shop is spotless. The owner is professional, polite and knowledgeable. I hope I don't have to see them again but if I do I am sure they will take care of my issues. Friendly and honest. Thanks guys!

Bob Ortiz and his staff have worked on 4 cars for my family. Each and every time, Affordable Auto and Truck Repair provided quality service at a reasonable price. My first experience was when my son called AAA due to a late night problem. Affordable Auto and Truck Repair arrived quickly, towed his car to their facility and secured it and repaired and returned it to him the next day. I have since taken my car for regular maintenance and new tires; my wife's car due to an electrical issue; and my daughter's car for a sensor issue. For my daughter's car, Bob recommended that we also replace her tires. He gave me a quote on a new set of tires but also informed me that for the type of tire my daughter needs, he wouldn't be able to compete with the national tire companies and suggested I shop around. At every juncture, Bob has dealt with me honestly and fairly, always kept me updated on cost and time to completion of the job, and provided quality service. By putting himself in the shoes of his customer, Bob and Affordable Auto and Truck Repair offer the highest degree of customer service. They deserve and have earned my highest recommendation.

My 07 Mustang was hurting. Lots of problems under the hood. Other shops wouldn't even touch it. But these guys took it on, diagnosed it correctly and got it done. The acceleration is back!

Took my car in for an oil change and brake lights were on dash. Bob called me to let me k own what needed to be done, worked with me on price and it was finished timely. I will definitely return for my car to be serviced. Very professional.

Fast service and preventative repairs!

Was vacationing at the Tradewinds, was at a souvenir shop when electric system on car died. Had car towed here on AAA recommendation. Had to call them next morning, Bobby was very polite, told me they had my car would check it out and get back to me. He called me , explained my alternator was bad and had ruined a cell in my battery, gave me quote on repair. Later he called to advise serpentine belt was dried out, needed replacement. Said there would be no labor charge on it. Car was ready around 4, picked it up, price as stated. He went over the warranty with me making sure I understood it and that it was good nationwide. Later received an email asking if everything was ok, and told I had a free oil change whenever I was in the area. If you live here, definitely use their service. Dependable Honest.

My Volvo was making a rattling sound that I needed looked at. I hadn't gone to a mechanic in years and knew I didn't want to pay dealership prices. I figured I would try this shop I pass daily and near my home. Small little garage. I loved that I was dealing with one mechanic and the manager and not some chain. The mechanic had experience and clearly knew what he was doing. He quickly diagnosed the problem and showed me the wear and tear on the motor mount that needed replacing. Quick service. Price wise, I think it was in the appropriate price range and I loved the follow up to make sure we were happy. Will definitely be taking our cars back.

When you need it fixed right, and honesty is important, then this is where you need to go. I Had to find that out the hard way, now I use Peterson Auto for every maintenance and repair issue.

I hate auto repair places...that is until I brought my car into Mike. I just brought it in for an oil change. Just happened to mention to Mike that the AC has not worked for years. Several other garages had looked at it and not been able to repair, so when he said he would just take a look at it I just said sure go ahead. Mike identified the issue and quoted me a very reasonable price (other quotes I received were always higher and they were never sure that what they proposed would resolve the issue). And to top it all off he re installed my glove compartment which had previously been taken apart and never put back together...at no charge. Thanks Mike and team

Ever since this garage changed management I have seen remarkable improvement in service quality. Mike really works toward helping his customers with both alternate service and financing options. I've had extensive work done on my vehicles here and I have always been quoted a price that was well below my expectations. The crew works quickly and the repairs are always complete and efficient when I pick the car up. A reliable, trustworthy mechanic is a great find for someone with older cars and I cannot recommend this place enough.

At a time when customer service is almost extinct, I was very impressed with this shop and the excellent treatment I received. They replaced a faulty fuel pump that they had installed in Jan, '13 at no charge and it took a mechanic all afternoon to do it. Great place! I highly recommend them! God bless!

I can't say enough about the service I received. I had some concerns about a few issues and called the next day they took my car in immediately and went above and beyond to be sure that I was satisfied extra care was given that was not addressed and it was all part of the service. The work was professional and on time. A full inspection was done. They bled and replaced our transmission fluid, and did a courtesy check on all other mechanics. Super friendly service. We definitely recommend.

Car troubles are never fun, especially when your car has issues during a vacation out of state. After driving to St. Pete with a slow leak in my radiator, I needed to get the repair done before driving back to North Carolina. I've had issues with car service recently, so I'm very cautious when it comes to finding places to trust my car with. I'm glad I trusted all of the positive reviews on Google. Mike was great and had a new radiator installed in my car the same day. Unlike some other reviewers, I found the cost to be in line with other local shops and much less than you would spend at a dealer. I would definitely recommend this shop.

These guys were awesome! They fixed my starter same day, for a fair price, and when my friend dropped me back off to pick up my car, they even helped tighten the battery terminals on his car for free! The manager Mike is a super personable and knowledgeable guy. I recently moved to the area for law school and had no clue where to take my car when it started giving me trouble. I saw this place had good google reviews so I gambled on it and it really paid off. I highly recommend these guys!

I was down on vacation and started hearing a noise. I looked up auto repair and they had a great review. Great service! Dropped of our Santa Fe for alternator replacement. I usually do my own maintenance, but today's cars are not designed for easy maintenance. Spoke with Vince at the St Pete shop and he arranged for us to drop off Sunday night. Work was done at a fair price and car ready Monday at 11 Am. Cars is running Great! I am new to the area and didn't know where to take my car. I googled this place and am so happy I went with them! My car broke down and they towed my car and got everything done in the same day. Vince was extremely helpful and informative. He explained in great detail what was going on with my car. I also got my oil changed. It is not extremely close to where I live, but I will travel the distance again. I won't go anywhere else from now on!

Very trustworthy. I was looking for a home grown auto shop in St. Petersburg and I am so glad I found this place. They did a great job on the repairs, were prompt at getting me in to the shop and contacting me and they respected my budget. They told me what absolutely needed to be done and what could wait. The service was great, and left me regretting ever going to more commercial auto shops in the past. Wish I had found them sooner. Also the service was friendly and everyone I talked to was helpful.

Friendly and efficient customer service and fair, appropriate prices. Bob is the master of multi-tasking without making the customer wait. Having so much business in a such hidden neighborhood is a sure sign that they have many happy repeat customers. They will NOT do repairs on your car that aren't needed, but they WILL give you a no-pressure assessment of what your vehicle will need in the foreseeable future. Glad they are so close by.
